Best Stocks to Buy on April 2008
At the middle of the first quarter earning season, we have seen that volatility is the only certain aspect of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE); General Electric, Nokia, Pfizer and Bank of America reported below expectations dragging the stock market downside.
On the other hand, Google, AT&T, Mc Donald´s, Johnson & Johnson and Coca Cola reported nicely, giving investors a sense of calm as their is still hope for a close bottom.
In the next few days, we see that there are many attractive stocks to be bought with a potential growth of more than 50%! Lets take a look at them and other not so risky ones.
Visa (stock ticker: V) is our favourite stock, as we have been saying since day 1. They are worldwide diversified so the earning announcement on April 28 should be favourable, rasing Visa´s price to $75 in the short run. We also expect visa to hit $100 at mid 2009.
Apple (stock quote: AAPL) should follow a similar trend GOOG did; if expectations are to be reached, and this is possible since the iPhone and iPod expansion, as well a a good season for the Macintosh did great worldwide, Apple could see $200. Also, the 3G tech could be a catalyst, meaning that they have room to grow.
Nevertheless, a possible pullback could come before their report, tomorrow, on April 23 after market hours. That´s why we recommend to buy their shares the same 23rd before market close. Althoug analysts expect $1.07 gain per share, and we believe that figure will be acomplished, we should remember that high expectations could lead to high disappointments.
General Electric (GE), Pfizer (PFE) and Nokia (NOK) are three huge multinacional companies that reported below expectations, and their stock prices declines severly to almost bargain prices. For conservative investors, theses stocks could easily grow 20%, and with a negative scenario they shouldn´t decline more than 5%, targeting to a year´s time.
Finally, risk tolerant investors should take a look at these three stocks: Crocs (CROX), Netflix (NFLX) and ETrade (ETFC). These all declined its value incredibly, and they are good companies with a lot of potencial. Particularly CROX, since summer season is approximating and their footware sales could raise. Etrade could be a nice call if you have faith in the financial sector, that seems to be recovering.

I have been following your posts, and you are right, you did said visa would grow. I would have made 65% since IPO or 10% since your analysis, but I didn´t have the courage! I will probably buy this week before the report.
I hope you are right in all of your predictions! Good luck, Andrew
